What really causes lines and wrinkles? Factors such as age, lack of use of sun blocks, poor hydration, sun damage, human genetics, cosmetics and smoking contribute to the appearance of wrinkles and lines on the face. Your face has an underlying composition structure of highly complex and richly innervated muscles. Bodybuilders develop their muscles through intense and regular targeted exercises; you shape your muscles over many years by forcing your facial muscles into very specific expressions. Facial expressions of deep thought or worry can be so strong on muscular structures that they can deeply crease the skin above them. This is caused by thinning skin and decreasing the facial fat with age. This is how deep wrinkles, lines, and folds in the skin originate and progress. This is how glabellar frown lines, deep "1" or "11" shaped creases just above the bridge of the nose appear between your eyebrows. Our facial muscles become stronger with age and the skin becomes less elastic with age. Repeated muscular contractions often result in similar creases, wrinkles, and damage to other areas of your face. The progressive lowering of the nose can be the result of age, gravity, or constant tension in upper lip muscles literally pulling the nose down. The wrinkle marks around the mouth are caused by deep sucking movements of facial muscles often associated with cigarette smoking or over-use of a straw. These lines and wrinkles are immediately perceived by those who see us and are identified as signs of aging. Some other examples of consideration may include:

Horizontal forehead lines (typically 3 to 6);"Crow's feet" on the outside corners of the eyes; Horizontal "bunny lines" just below glabellar lines at the upper part of the nose (they can make you look like a bunny scrunching up his nose);Severe downward arching of the mouth, whereby facial muscles depress the outer corners of the mouth; Sagging outer upper parts of the eye above and to the outside eye in a baggy appearance and downward lateral corners of the eye.

Bagging under the eyes mixed with crow's feet at the corners of the eyes gives the appearance of lowering cheekbones due to a combination of the features and a central facial fat pad droop.

In such situations, Botox could be one solution. This determination must be made by an experienced physician. During treatment very low, safe dose of mixtures are injected into precise target areas. Botox is a muscle relaxer. The needles used are as thin as human hair. They are designed to release the medication into the muscles with minimal discomfort. It quickly and specifically starts to relax the facial muscles. This minimizes stubborn lines and wrinkles to greatly and quickly improve your appearance and decrease the signs of age.

Expect about a 50-70% initial improvement at the time of treatment. More facial improvement occurs over the next 2 to 3 days, and others may occur up to 10 days. Effects of the medication usually last between 4 to 6 months. Future treatments are usually repeated to achieve the same results. Often future treatments will last longer and often using less medication . The muscles in your face being relaxed for months progressively weaken with repeated medication and time. Unlike permanent costly and painful plastic surgery, you are free to choose to do a little or a lot. You can add more or do less and actually see the results and compare your results. Touch ups are quickly and easily done. You are not committed to the permanent results of painful surgery. If you are considering plastic surgery, it is often a great initial step to see how you like the change. It can be at a very reasonable cost. The effects of Botox are reversed with the passage of time. Patients have stated that after receiving Botox, they can look 5, 10, or 15 years younger. Some of the most dramatic results occur in men, who share a high level of satisfaction. The human eye is an expert at very precisely identifying faces, recognizing age, and spotting imperfections. Whether you are an attorney, a salesperson, or a high level executive, facial enhancements resulting in healthy looks may contribute to your professional success. This look projects a more youthful perception and appearance to others. You will be amazed at the confidence your improved appearance can install in you and the people around you

Botox is produced from a potent neurotoxin from the bacteria Clostridium Botulinum. Patients often express a concern as to the possible problem of the therapy. You are statistically more likely to die from coffee intake than Botox. The most common side effects could include headaches, respiratory infections, flu-like symptoms , temporary eyelid droop, or nausea. Most patients have no side effects. In patients receiving a placebo of salt water, 2% more of patients injected with Botox exhibited rare side effects than did patients injected with salt water alone.

For 15 years, Botox has been one of the most widely used medicines in the world. It is FDA-approved for such use, and the medication is capable of removing substantial frown lines or wrinkles from the face. It is used in patients between the ages of 18 to 65. It should not be used in patients suffering from neuromuscular disorders, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and women intending to become pregnant. We pride ourselves in answering all your questions so you can make an informed decision.
